A date has been set for Hull’s Arctic Corsair to move from its berth in the River Hull for the first time in over 20 years. The country’s only surviving sidewinder trawler has operated as a visitor attraction next to the Hull Streetlife Museum for the past two decades. Now a date has been announced for when the trawler will be moved to a temporary berth at Alexandra Dock ahead of re-locating to a refurbished dry dock berth at the former North End shipyard off Dock Office Row. Currently surrounded by mud and silt on the River Hull, she will be towed away by two tugs on Sunday, August 4. The complex operation will follow extensive dredging in the immediate area which has recently started. The operation is likely to provide some spectacular sights with the ship passing under three raised bridges and going past The Deep before reaching the Humber. A dedicated team of volunteers and curators, with the support of fishing heritage group STAND, have worked on the Arctic Corsair for several months ensuring the ship’s collection of artefacts has been protected and catalogued in time for the move. The vessel will be will be placed in temporary storage at Associated British Ports, while the flood protection works on the River Hull being carried out by the Environment Agency are completed, until We also put the latest news in our Instagram Stories. By Nicole Conner For Mailonline. Swingers booking tickets for an annual two-day festival have been told the event is still going ahead despite Covid fears – but sex will be banned. The Swing Fest will be held at the HU9 club in Hull, East Yorkshire, after the city council gave it the green light despite fears over coronavirus restrictions. Council chiefs have given the green light to the controversial event, but have insisted there will be ‘no sexual activity involved in the event’.
It will feature a large stage, light show, live DJs, tribute acts and even fire breathers, but plans to include an ‘adult bouncy castle’ have had to be scrapped. Some locals said they were ‘appalled’ by the event which they fear would breach Covid regulations.
— Health bosses say people are often unaware of just how many say ‘new pence’, while those made after this date should say ‘two pence’.
In cases involving IPSO, due prominence should be as required by the regulator. In cases involving personal grief or shock, enquiries and approaches must be made with sympathy and discretion and publication handled sensitively. These provisions should not restrict the right to report legal proceedings. The complaint was not resolved through direct correspondence between the parties.
IPSO therefore began an investigation into the matter.

Have you ever experienced whelming? The highly-irritating dating trend now has a name. Singles looking to match with somebody online are often all too aware of dodgy dating trends to look out for. And while you may have heard of, or been a victim of “ghosting”, there’s now another dating trend you can add to the never-ending list. Ahead of Valentine’s Day, new dating trend “whelming” is the latest term to be coined, and it’s pretty awful, reports The Mirror.
According to the publication, whelming is when a potential match feels the need to tell you how many other matches they have, and just how overwhelming it is being so attractive and popular.

Habits are also different with female students more likely to ghost a partner, while Google is the most common source of information about sex. What female students worry about when it comes to sex and dating is very different from what men worry about – according to a major new survey. Dating and sex habits are also vastly different, and the survey has revealed how people go about hooking up and where they get their best sex advice.
When it comes to priorities in their lives, male students ranked dating and sex higher than female students did, who instead choose to prioritise family and their education. Top worries in relation to dating were eye opening; men said they were most concerned about finding their ideal match and remaining faithful to their partner, whereas women worry most about being cheated on. Students were then asked what their biggest worries in relation to sex were, with the following found to be the most common causes for concern:.
Female respondents are the most concerned about getting pregnant and looking attractive to their partner, whereas male students are far more worried about their sexual performance and being caught in the act.

Crimes involving dating sites and apps has doubled in the last four years. Once almost taboo, online dating has become the norm for many while even dating apps have been credited as responsible for many weddings. There are plenty of success stories and these sites and apps can be a lifeline for those hungry for romance in a world where meeting people in the community is growing ever hard. Those embarking on a romantic journey through sites and apps need to be careful to avoid being duped, stalked or, sadly, much worse.
